Jahnvi Dave, a Bachelor of Architecture Graduate of the Class of 2024, explores the adaptive reuse of ordinary buildings.
The objective was to explore the adaptive reuse of buildings lacking significant architectural styles but possessing immense value. Under the mentorship of Prof Ashish Tiwari, Associate Professor, School of Architecture, Jahnvi thoroughly understood every aspect of the adaptive reuse concept for bringing it into application.
Hailing from Surendranagar, Jahnvi’s thesis identified and reimagined a significant site in Jamnagar with a contemporary function that integrates its memories and values, epitomising the journey from historical significance to modern-day relevance.
