Ankita Dash

Ankita Dash, a Postgraduate of the Class of 2024 with Product Design as major, designs an innovative and inclusive musical instrument tory for children.

The objective was to design an innovative musical instrument toy for children that utilises gestural control. Under the mentorship of Prof Parth Atulkumar Shah, Assistant Professor, School of Design, Ankita designed THEREMONY, an innovative and inclusive musical instrument toy that enables children to compose their own musical tracks by moving their hands “in the air”, making it not only engaging but also accessible to both visually impaired and sighted children.

Hailing from Puri, Odisha, Ankita is committed to designing playful, interactive experiences that prioritise inclusivity, creativity and sensory development.
