February and March were vibrant and action-packed. Anant hosted two international events, bringing scholars, sustainability advocates, Indigenous wisdom keepers, folk artists and storytellers to the Anant campus. Demonstrating our commitment to social causes, Anant hosted a successful blood donation drive and invited 500+ students, engaging them in various creative activities, nurturing their talents and encouraging self-expression.

Anant announces the second round of the Anant Design Entrance and Proficiency Test (ADEPT)— India’s first and only multilingual design entrance test on 6 and 13 March 2025, 10–11 am. Offered in 10 languages—English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Punjabi—ADEPT makes design education inclusive and accessible to aspirants from diverse backgrounds.
On International Women’s Day, the School of Architecture hosted artist and feminist advocate Rekha Rodwittiya for an inspiring session. Foundation Year and 2nd-semester MDes students showcased innovative designs in respective exhibitions. The Anant Centre for Visual Arts collaborated with Belgian artist Marie Julia Bollansée for a unique street performance, while the Centre for Moving Image hosted faculty from Vilnius Academy and Swiss artist Leonih Wolff for workshops.
Anant’s Centre of Design Education for Schools hosted 2 educators and 18 students from 5 Mumbai schools for a 2-day Design Adventure workshop as part of IIMUN’s Design Tour. It featured a masterclass on Design Thinking by Provost Dr Anunaya Chaubey and an exciting Design Adventure where participants explored the creative process and innovative problem-solving techniques.
Anant garnered extensive media coverage in these two months, featuring in over 300 publications. IKSP and WITH 2025 were covered in national and local media, highlighting Anant’s commitment to initiate a dialogue on sustainable solutions to climate change. Additionally, Mr Ajay Piramal, President, Anant National University, and Dr Anunaya Chaubey, Provost, were featured in an interview with Forbes India magazine, where they discussed the evolution of Anant, future plans, and how Anant’s multidisciplinary DesignX approach stands out.

of Aarambh Incubation Centre delivered a lecture on ‘Innovation in Healthcare to Improve Health Life - A Design Perspective’ at the Gujarat Urban Development Institute (GUDI) capacity-building programme.
Assistant Professor, School of Design received approval for his research startup grant of 60 lakh for three years from the Science and Engineering Research Board. This is the first such grant received from the Department of Science and Technology.
At IIT Bombay’s Mood Indigo 2024, 161 Anant students excelled in national-level competitions, winning first, second and third places in photography, story writing and character design, respectively. Anant’s Music Club ranked among India’s top 20 bands. Anant proudly placed 1st among Ahmedabad institutions, 17th overall and 20th in the contingent leaderboard rankings.
Anant and AIESEC hosted Balakalakar, an event designed to help children discover and develop their creative potential, engaging 500+ students through art, dance, drama, music, and craft, supported by Elixir Foundation and Sharada Trust. Anant also organised its 6th blood donation drive with Prathama Blood Bank, with 194 Anant community members, including faculty, staff, and students, donating blood during the drive.
