Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC prescribed seven point scales
At least 7 years’ administrative experience as Deputy Registrar or Deputy Controller of Examinations or equivalent in any Central or State University/ IIT/ NIT/ IIM/ Research Establishment (or) as an Assistant Registrar in the institutions specified above
Responsible for strategy formulation considering long term vision of the university and shaping the roadmap for building Anant National University into a global leader in higher education.
Aim for global rankings over the long term by realising national level accreditation and recognitions in near future.
Ensure key committee policies and guidelines are formed, reviewed & approved.
Responsible for Statutory compliances (comply the regulations/rules mentioned in the Gujarat Private Universities Act/Statutes/Ordinances/any rule of any other statutory body applicable to the University).
Issue the notices for the authorities’ meetings (BOM, Academic council, governing body, UDFC), convene the meeting, circulate the minutes of the meetings and keep the minutes of the meeting for future records.
Responsible for vetting all contracts, documents and records including Appointment Letters, Contracts, Business Agreement, Legal Papers etc. on behalf of the university
Responsible for replying to applications received under RTIs’, legal notice etc.
Responsible for issuance of bonafide, provisional, transcript & other certificates / letters to students.
Custodian of the university records – MOUs’, Gazette Notifications, First Statutes, Appointments of the Officers of University, communication with various departments and minutes of the authorities.
Any other responsibilities as may be directed by the Registrar/ Provost/ Management from time to time.
External Stakeholders & Regulatory Compliance:
Manage regulatory authorities i.e. Department of Higher Education, Government of Gujarat, KCG, Council of Architecture, UGC etc.
Day to day liaison with officers by visiting respective department.
Apply for necessary permissions and taking approvals on time.
Ensure full statutory & regulatory compliances.
Ensure timely and comprehensive Internal & External audits, across all relevant departments.
Implement risk management framework through internal audit & regular control assessment and notify the discrepancy to the Registrar/ Provost/ Management.
