Full-Time

  • Chief Finance and Accounts Officer
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Relevant Role
    Financial Recordkeeping:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and
    expense reports.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by
    reconciling accounts regularly.
    Invoice Processing:

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims,
    verifying their accuracy and compliance with university
    policies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to
    resolve any billing discrepancies.
    Budget Management:

  • Assist in preparing departmental budgets and monitor
    expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Collaborate with budget owners to review variances and
    provide explanations for financial discrepancies.
    Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and analysis as
    required by the university's management or external stakeholders.
  • Present financial information in a clear and concise
    manner to aid decision-making.
    Payroll Processing:

  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure timely and
    accurate payroll processing.
  • Verify payroll data, including deductions, PLIs, and resolve any payroll-related issues.
    Compliance and Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, university
    policies, and relevant legal regulations.
  • Assist during internal and external audits, providing
    necessary documentation and explanations.
    Banking and Cash Management:

  • Handle bank transactions, including deposits,
    withdrawals, and fund transfers.
  • Maintain cash balance records and reconcile bank
    statements.
    Vendor Management:

  • Liaise with vendors to establish payment terms, resolve
    payment issues, and negotiate favourable terms when necessary.
    Financial System Administration:

  • Utilize financial software and tools effectively for
    accounting tasks and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and
    participate in system upgrades or implementations.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Executive or in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial
    regulations.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft
    Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with the specific accounting requirements of
    educational institutions (preferable, but not mandatory).
