Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Financial Recordkeeping:
Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and
expense reports.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by
reconciling accounts regularly.
Invoice Processing:
Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims,
verifying their accuracy and compliance with university
policies.
Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to
resolve any billing discrepancies.
Budget Management:
Assist in preparing departmental budgets and monitor
expenditure against approved budgets.
Collaborate with budget owners to review variances and
provide explanations for financial discrepancies.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare financial reports, statements, and analysis as
required by the university's management or external stakeholders.
Present financial information in a clear and concise
manner to aid decision-making.
Payroll Processing:
Collaborate with the HR department to ensure timely and
accurate payroll processing.
Verify payroll data, including deductions, PLIs, and resolve any payroll-related issues.
Compliance and Audit:
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, university
policies, and relevant legal regulations.
Assist during internal and external audits, providing
necessary documentation and explanations.
Banking and Cash Management:
Handle bank transactions, including deposits,
withdrawals, and fund transfers.
Maintain cash balance records and reconcile bank
statements.
Vendor Management:
Liaise with vendors to establish payment terms, resolve
payment issues, and negotiate favourable terms when necessary.
Financial System Administration:
Utilize financial software and tools effectively for
accounting tasks and reporting.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and
participate in system upgrades or implementations.
Key Skills
Proven experience as an Accounts Executive or in a similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial
regulations.
Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft
Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Familiarity with the specific accounting requirements of
educational institutions (preferable, but not mandatory).
