Rocio graduated with first class honors at Master level on both Architecture and Urban Design. She holds an MArch and BArch, from the Superior School of Architecture, Polytechnic University of Madrid, and the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College of London where she studied with an exceptional scholarship granted on academic merits.
She started her Ph.D. (currently on hold) on Space and human behaviour, after completing the two years Ph.D. Research Programme at the School of Social Sciences, UCO (UCO+GLA Ph.D. Research Commonwealth Programme).
Rocio has worked in Academia since 2010 for various international academic institutions, IED Madrid-Milano, Raffles Singapore University, Singapore and Sri Lanka, NID Ahmedabad India, Pontificia Universidad Catolica Chile, Universidad San Sebastian Chile, Ahmedabad Education Society, DIT University and most recently ANANT University in Ahmedabad, India.
In 2016 she received the Veronica Rudge Green Prize awarded by Harvard University for the Team work on the Madrid River Project, her position being Coordinator of Team and Project Architect for the biggest of all main three sectors in the Project. In 2012 she received a First Prize Award by UNESCO for the Team work on the Integration of the Tajo River in the city of Toledo, where she was Creative Director –Architect in lead- for the entire Project.
A Coordinator member of the Creative Team of Architects for the Spanish Pavillion at the International Exhibition Shanghai 2010, and a member of the Creative Board for the Madrid Design Net Project, a practice-based research international initiative also exhibited at the International Exhibition Shanghai 2010.
She was previously the Director of two publications specialized in art, design and architecture (Arqfuture Publishers) at the age of 30 and 35 respectively, and Director of the Projects Department at Madrid and Barcelona CD-Exhibitions & Publications at the age of 36.
Has worked as a Consultant in Architecture and Design for multiple well renowned firms, leading international competitions as well as directing (advising) local teams in international grounds (Max India, Max Ventures, Four Banyans Resorts, SOS Association, UN India)
Rocio Jarabo is an Associate Professor at Anant National University, teaching the main Studio course (FDPS) for architecture students at Foundation year.
