Meghna Ajit is a development professional with design background. She is an alumna of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.
During her seventeen years of professional journey, she has been a designer, educator and an entrepreneur. She being true to her subject – design and design, has an approach of bringing theory to practice on field. While doing so, she has been actively engaged with the communities, facilitating them with appropriate know how and infrastructures for adopting sustainable practices as their livelihoods. She has worked extensively with rural and craft clusters across the country and is founder of a community development initiative named ‘Beeja’.
She believes that design acts as a missing link that integrates the elements of an ecosystem. Beeja has been recognised at national and international platforms as a live and successful project with local communities. She along with the community members have groomed individuals to practice environment friendly livelihoods and are persistent to sensitise youth and children about the environment related concerns by demonstrating an environment friendly and ethical existence.
