Divya Gor is an architect with a Master’s in Urban Design from the School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal. She has 5 years of experience where she has worked on various architectural, master planning and urban design projects. She has a keen interest in academics and research work, particularly in urban design. Her research area includes urban history, public realm, urbanism, city form, territoriality, cities and cross-cultural influence, transit-oriented development and contemporary urban issues. Her recent publications include ‘The ‘Disruption’: A Study of Evolving Urban Academic Spaces’, presented at the International Conference on Recent Developments in Education, Social Science & Humanities (ESH – 2018).
She believes in a holistic design approach and is sensitive towards the culture, context of existing surrounding and local region. Design must connect with its users and communities. Apart from work, academics and research, she is passionate about travelling and likes to explore different places and their cultures. She is associated with Anant National University as an Assistant Professor from February 2017.
